We have had a mild, wonderful winter with 60 and 70 degree days, we believed Spring was not far away. But, Mother Nature has other plans. A massive snow storm is being called for the area on March 14 and we are bracing ourselves for more cold days for the rest of the month.
But, the weather never stops us from learning and having fun! February and March were full of exciting adventures including a Sweetheart Dance and even sweeter Valentine Lunch party, “travels to Africa” and a lively Mardi Gras Parade. In March we got Wacky on Wednesday with silly outfits and a Waffles and Ice Cream lunch and a Dr. Seuss birthday celebration. We also explored the British Isles this month, learning about England, Ireland and Scotland. We made kilts and enjoyed shamrock shakes. We will celebrate the beginning of Spring, regardless of the weather, and a Willie Wonka Day with lots of chocolate goodies, to be sure.
In April, we will explore many things that make us love Spring; ponds, bugs and talks about the weather. We will also discover Egyptian culture, a new topic for us, and string instruments.
Summer camp plans are well under way and early bird enrollment discounts are offered through March 15. We have several new trips planned this year. Don’t miss out on the fun, enroll today!
Happy (almost) Spring! Enjoy the (hopefully last) snow and think warm thoughts!
