Welcome to March. It sure did come in like a lion! Let’s hope for some warmer spring like weather soon. Here in the Chickadees we are ready to begin some spring fun! We do start to take the babies outside as soon as we can. Please be sure to send in appropriate coats, gloves, hats and shoes for our walkers. All labeled. The walkers especially love going out to explore and run around. Our babies enjoy swinging in the swings, while watching their friends run around.
Please remember to label everything coming in to school. It is very important that bottles are labeled and dated each day, this is a state requirement. Also remember to update your baby’s feeding plan when there are any changes. All infants under 12 months must have an up to date, signed feeding plan. If you need a new one, please see Ms. Samantha. Thank you.
We have been using our gross motor skills this month by crawling over the big soft toys and playing in the tunnels. We have also been doing some art projects for our bulletin board. Be sure to check out how talented we are!
Gross motor skills can range in anything from rolling over, learning to sit up, running, walking and jumping. So even at a young age your baby is developing their gross motor skills. Gross motor skills are defined as large movements with the legs, arms, feet and the entire body. It also includes hand-eye coordination skills like throwing, kicking and catching a ball.
