About Us
Our goal is to offer the very best Daycare and Summer Camp program!
During the late 1990's, Bill and Pam Cossaboon realized there was a great need for a high quality daycare, preschool and summer camp program in their Mount Laurel community. As a young family, they had personally experienced the frustration of finding the right program for their newborn and four-year old son.
Like most parents, they were looking for a daycare and summer camp program that offered both a well- designed, age-appropriate educational curriculum, provided in a nurturing environment by caring, experienced teachers and staff.
Based on conversations with other parents, Bill and Pam knew they were not alone in this difficult search for the best daycare, preschool and summer camp program for their children. The "chain store" daycare centers managed by corporations were too impersonal and staff turnover was a problem. The smaller family daycare centers didn't offer a strong educational curriculum. "We knew we wanted the best for our children, as all parents do. We just could not find the right program for our children. So we decided to do something about it!"
After spending several years developing plans for their program and facility, The Laurel Tree Academy opened its doors in September 2000 as a family-owned and operated daycare, preschool and summer camp program.
Our mission is very clear and has not changed since we opened.

stimulated and challenged. It is our goal to offer developmentally appropriate, hands-on
experiences within a loving environment that promotes exploration, curiosity, and the desire to learn."
